Grapevine

The purpose of the committee at Area Assembly is to coordinate information received from local Grapevine interests for reporting back to the assembly. Also functions by

• Exposing the assembly to the current wide selection of Grapevine Literature.
• Encouraging participation in the Grapevine structure through Grapevine Reps and members’ submission of articles.

NYSIW Report

I attended the NYSIW hosted by SENY AREA 49, I was originally asked to speak on the Grapevine panel…..but (in keeping with tradition 9) upon arrival I was asked to be the chair-person for the panel, and accepted. All set to chair on Saturday ……10 minutes before the panel is to start, I was once again asked to be on the panel instead of the chair……..again tradition 9…….No problem, I was on the panel with Kay E (Area 49) and Morgan (Area 50).

We all shared what we are doing in our respective areas to bring awareness of the Grapevine materials and to increase the subscriptions for Grapevine and La Vina.

I did attend the CPC Workshop, PI Workshop, C&TF Workshop, Accessibilities/Special Needs panel, Archives Workshop, and the Website Workshop.

I thought Area 47 had a great showing with Dave C on the CPC panel, Laurie S on the PI panel, Noella W on the Accessibilities panel, Colleen K on the Website panel, and myself on the Grapevine panel.

All in all it was very informative and was great to meet so many other people from the other areas.
